About Hara Masala Fish Curry Recipe

King fish/Surmai in green coconut based kokani curry.Green chilli ,coconut ,corriander with curry leaves and ginger garlic paste saute. Curds as the basic gravy content.Seasoned with cummin corriander,salt little pepper& garam masala.Very authentic taste due to the green paste used with curd.Try with steamed rice or Tandoori roti

Hara Masala Fish Curry

Ingredients to make Hara Masala Fish Curry

  • 3 pieces of Surmai cut slant
  • 1 cup green masala
  • 1 /2 cup curd
  • 1tblspn ginger garlic paste
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tspn cummin corriander
  • 1/2 tspn pepper garam masala mix
  • 1tblspn oil /ghee
  • For green masala:
  • 1/4th cup coconut
  • 1cup corriander
  • 2 green chillies
  • Few curry leaves

How to make Hara Masala Fish Curry

  1. Make the green masala by grinding all ingredients for green masala
  2. Keep all ingredients in place
  3. Heat the oil now and saute ginger garlic paste
  4. Saute a few seconds add green paste now and stir fry both for 2 minutes
  5. Add the dry spices with salt to the curds and beat into a paste
  6. Add the curd with spices to this green masala
  7. Mix well stirring ,add some water now
  8. Simmer for 4-5 minutes ,add the fish pieces now
  9. Cook with fish on slow covered 5 minutes
  10. Remove in a deep bowl plate
  11. Enjoy with boiled rice

My Tip:

Add ghee to enhance taste while cooking,use semi sour curds
