- 2 cups, chopped radish/mooli
- 1 tbsp + 1 tsp freshly powdered mustard seeds
- 3 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
How to make Mooli ka achaar
My Tip:Don't pressure cook the moolis too much as it will turn soft, tangy and juicy after you keep it under sunlight. Keep it under sunlight as much as you can. The longer, the better. Most of the pickles needs to be kept under sunlight but this one really doesn't need much effort. I get sunlight in my flat for just 2 hours in a day. I pressure cooked the mooli for 5 minutes in a low flame after the first whistle because I chopped them a bit thick and they were a bit hard as well. To make them soft, I cooked them for 5 minutes.
