Potato and corn sticks

Ingredients to make Potato and corn sticks

  • Boiled & mashed potatoes - 1
  • Boiled corns - 1/4 th cup
  • garlic powder - 1/4 th tsp
  • onion powder - 1/8 th tsp
  • Mixed herbs - 1/4 th tsp
  • salt
  • pepper powder - few pinches
  • Grated cheese (I have used cheddar) - 2 tbsp
  • Outer coating :
  • egg whites
  • Bread crumbs
  • oil for frying

How to make Potato and corn sticks

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and place the mix into a rectangular tray lined with a cling film.
  2. Shape to form a rectangle and with a sharp knife, cut them into sticks.
  3. Cover them with a cling film and freeze them in the freezer for at least an hour or until the mixture hardens.
  4. Once they harden, coat the sticks with egg whites and then bread crumbs. Double coat them with egg whites and crumbs, freeze again for 30 minutes.
  5. Deep fry them in ho.t oil and serve.
