Ingredients to make Thandai

  • Almonds- 12
  • Sugar- 4 tsp (or more)
  • Milk- 3 cups
  • Chilled Water- 1/2 cup
  • Black peppercorns- 7-8
  • Green Cardamom- 10 (only the seeds)
  • Kesar strands- 4-5
  • Rose water- 2 tsp
  • Saunf (fennel seeds)- 1 tbsp

How to make Thandai

  1. In a mixer jar, throw in the cardamom seeds, pepper,almonds, saunf and sugar. Grind it into a fine powder.
  2. Take 3 cups of milk and add 1/2 cup water. (The water addition is not compulsory but thandai is little less of milk (means it is little less rich). Add the powder according to your need. I used all of it.)
  3. Add kesar and rose water and chill in the refrigerator for minimum of 4 hours.
  4. Serve it chilled with some almond flakes sprinkled on top.

My Tip:

Prepare this a day before and see the taste get doubled!
