About Papada vada. Recipe

A kerala snack with papadam.

Papada vada.

Ingredients to make Papada vada.

  • Papadam 10 to 12
  • Basan 1 cup
  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • hing 2 pinch
  • salt
  • sesame seeds 1/4 tsp
  • jeera 1/4 tsp
  • oil to deep fry.

How to make Papada vada.

  1. Make a dosa consistency batter with all ingredients except oil, adding enough water.
  2. Heat oil
  3. Prick on the papadam with a knife or fork, not to pop up while fring.
  4. Dip each papadam in batter & deep fry in oil. Cook both sides.
  5. Put on a tissue paper to drain oil.
  6. Keep in airtight container , it will last for a few days.

My Tip:

Take old & thin papadam because it should b stiff. If u have fresh papadam, just keep in sunlight for a few hrs.
