Gems Ladoo

Ingredients to make Gems Ladoo

  • Almonds- 1 cup
  • Whole pitted dates- 15 (de seed dates, keep aside)
  • Cadbury gems- for coating the balls (use your mortar pestle to break the gems roughly)
  • Cocoa powder – 2/3 cup
  • Honey- 1 tbsp
  • Water- 2-3 tbsp

How to make Gems Ladoo

  1. In a food processor/mixer grind almonds till a coarse powder forms. Add dates, honey, water, cocoa powder into this.
  2. Grind again till a sticky mixture forms. The mixture should look coarse, lumpy. If you want to form a small ball/ladoo out of this mixture, it will hold the shape.
  3. Don’t add extra water unnecessarily, otherwise everything will be messed up.
  4. Start making lemon sized balls/ladoos from the mixture using your fingers and palms. Then roll them into crushed gems. Keep the ladoos in an air-tight container and store in the refrigerator.

My Tip:

This can be made with M&M too.
