Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 12 chicken wings
  2. 1/2 cup cornstarch
  3. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  4. 1/4 cup sugar
  5. 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  6. 2 eggs
  7. 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  8. 2 tbsp of chili powder
  9. Oil for deep-fat frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch, flour, sugar,chili powder and salt.
  2. Add chicken wings in flour mixture and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  3. When ready to fry the chicken wings, heat up the oil in a frying pan, (pour about 1 inch of oil in the pan)
  4. Beat to 2 eggs with 1 tsp of water.
  5. Drench the wings in the eggs mixture and then roll in the flour mixture.
  6. Fry the wings a few at a time until golden on each side (about 3 minutes)
  7. Reserve on a plate with paper towels to absorb the excess oil.
  8. Serve with your favourite hot sauce.
