About Pani puri Recipe

It's one of the most preferred evening snack.this is the most pipular indian street food and loved by everyone whether kids or adults.

Pani puri

Ingredients to make Pani puri

  • 20 puri of golgappa ( readymade)
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup sev
  • 1/4 cup tarmarind chutney
  • For pani:
  • 1 litre water
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves chopped
  • 1/2 cup coriender leaves chopped
  • 1-2 green chilli chopped
  • 1/2 inch ginger chopped
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • salt totaste
  • 1/2 cup boondi ,soaked and drained
  • For pani puri stuffing:
  • 1 1/2 cup boiled,peeled and mashed potato
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli pwr
  • 1/2 tsp cumin pwr
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriender leaves

How to make Pani puri

  1. Making pani puri stuffing:
  2. In a bowl, mix the potatoes, onions, coriander leaves, cumin powder, chaat masala powder and black salt or regular salt. mix well and keep aside.
  3. Making pani:
  4. Combine the all ingredients except the black salt in a blender and grind to a fine paste using a little water.
  5. Transfer the paste into a large bowl and combine with 1 litre of water, the black salt and salt and mix well
  6. Chill for at least 2 to 3 hours after making so that all the flavours have blended properly.
  7. Add the boondi to the pani.
  8. How to proceed:
  9. Crack the top of the puri with a spoon. add 2 to 3 teaspoons of the boiled potato-onion filling in the puri.
  10. Stir the green pani first and then add it in the puri optionally you can add some sweet chutney in the puri.
  11. Serve the pani puri immediately

My Tip:

You can use ragda instead of the sprouts or boondi.
