Instant Gujiya

Ingredients to make Instant Gujiya

  • Samosa Patty sheets 8
  • Khoya ,crumbled well, 1/2 cup
  • Powdered Sugar 1 Tsp
  • Green cardamom powder1/4 tsp
  • Dessicated coconut 2 tbsp
  • Almonds 8 crushed well
  • Sugar syrup of one string consistency
  • 1tbs all purpose flour +water to make a paste
  • Oil/pure ghee for frying

How to make Instant Gujiya

  1. Mix together mawa,sugar,cardamom powder,and almonds
  2. Heat oil /pure ghee,in karahi or pan
  3. Place a Patty sheet on flat surface. Keep khoya mixture at one corner of sheet and fold as per instructions.
  4. Seal edges with flour paste.
  5. Fry gujiyas on slow to medium heat, till all are golden in color.
  6. Take out on an absorbent paper,and dip each gujiya in cold and thick sugar syrup for 2-3 min.tossing all the time.
  7. Drain and keep it in a plate for 1 hour.
My Tip: I keep sugar syrup ready in my fridge.
