ABOUT Garlic Hummus RECIPE

Hummus is a famous Arabian dip, commonly served with flat breads, grilled meat or Fresh Vegetable fingers is derived from the word Hummus, which in Arabic means Chickpeas.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup – Soaked and cooked Chickpeas
  2. 2 tsp – Tahini Paste
  3. 6 cloves – Garlic
  4. 2 tbsps – Hung curd
  5. 2 tbsp – Lemon juice
  6. 1 stem – Parsley
  7. 2 tbsp – Olive oil
  8. 1/4 cup – Chickpea boiled water
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Boiled chickpeas, Parsley and Zatar for topping

Instructions

  1. Add chickpeas into the hand blender jar and coarsely blend it.
  2. Now add Garlic, pressed using Kitchenaid Garlic Press, Hung curd, salt, chickpea boiled water, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and parsley and blend it to a smooth paste.
  3. Pour the Hummus into a serving bowl. Make well in the shape of a spiral. Fill it with extra virgin Olive oil. Add boiled chickpeas, zatar and Parsley on top.
  4. Serve it with Pitta bread, onions, cucumber, olives and tomatoes.

tahini is a paste made with sesame seeds and mild olive oil. it can be made at home also
