Ingredients to make Pasta in daal (Dal dhokli)

  • Aata- 1 cup
  • Presure cooked Toor daal-4 cups
  • Chopped Onions- 1
  • Chopped garlic -5
  • Chopped Tomatoes-2
  • oil
  • Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera- 1/2 tsp
  • Sesame seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder- 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder as per taste
  • Salt
  • Asafotida- a pinch
  • Aamchur - 1 tsp

How to make Pasta in daal (Dal dhokli)

  1. Take aata in a mixing bowl. Add salt, turmeric powder, sesame seeds, 1 tbsp oil and mix well. Knead it into a dough.
  2. Make 6 balls out of the dough and roll them into thick puri. Keep it aside .
  3. Heat some oil in a kadhai. Put mustard seeds, jira and let them splutter .
  4. Add chopped garlic, onions and tomatoes. Saute.
  5. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder,garam masala powder, salt , amchur powder. Saute.
  6. Now add the cooked toor daal . Add some water. Let it boil.
  7. Now , put the made puris into the boiling daal . Let them cook . Garnish with coriander. Serve hot .
