ABOUT Spicy Oven Baked French Fries RECIPE

Flavored with your favorite spices, these crispy potato fries are made healthy by baking them. Enjoy them guilt free!!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 to 4 large potatoes, washed, scrubbed clean and dried
  2. 3 to 4 tablespoons oil
  3. 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. ½ teaspoon pepper powder
  6. 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  7. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper. Wash, clean, peel and slice the potatoes into match sticks or shoe strings or if you prefer, wedges.
  2. Put these potatoes into a bowl of cold water after washing them again for a couple of times to remove as much starch as you can. Soak them for at least 30 minutes. Drain the potatoes and dry them well using a paper towel.
  3. Place them in a bowl. Stir in the oil, spices, herbs and salt and toss well to coat the fries with all the dry seasonings. Layer them as much as possible in a single layer into the baking pan.
  4. Bake for about 30 to 45 minutes, stirring them halfway, till crispy. Serve hot with ketchup or any dip of your choice.
