Delicious, and yummy samosas with a chana dal filling, a perfect snack for all times.

Chanadal samosa

Ingredients to make Chanadal samosa

  • Samosa patti - 500gm
  • Chanadal - 250gm
  • Chopped onion - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped coriander - 1/4 cup
  • Chopped mint leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Grated raw mango as per your taste
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli paste - 1tbsp
  • turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • coriander and cumin powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar as per your taste
  • Citric acid as per your taste
  • salt to taste
  • poppy seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped cashew and raisins - 1 tbsp
  • oil

How to make Chanadal samosa

  1. Soak chana dal over night and then boil it 90%.
  2. In a bowl take boiled chana dal , all the masalas , chopped onion , chopped coriander , chopped mint leaves ,grated raw mango, sugar ,citric acid ( if u add raw mango no need to add citric acid), poppy seeds, chopped cashew and raisin.
  3. Mix it well.
  4. In another bowl take 2 tbsp wheat flour and add required water for gum paste.
  5. Take samosa Patti and at one corner put stuffing and then give triangle shape. At last corner spread gum paste and stick the corner.
  6. Deep fry all the samosas.

My Tip:

Grated raw mango gives superb taste to samosa.
