Namkeen Rava Cake / Crispy Potato Rava Squares

Ingredients to make Namkeen Rava Cake / Crispy Potato Rava Squares

  • Sooji/Rava [semolina]-1/2 Cup
  • Boiled potato-1 pcs
  • small peas-2 tbsp
  • 1.5 Cup water
  • oil- 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Green chilli-2 pcs,
  • cumin seed-1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Chaat masala-1 tsp ,
  • Red chilli Flakes-1 tsp,
  • Chopped coriande leaf-2 tbsp,
  • turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp,
  • ginger paste- 1/2 tsp
  • Corn flour- 2 tbsp
  • Cooking oil

How to make Namkeen Rava Cake / Crispy Potato Rava Squares

  1. To make fine suji grind the suji .
  2. On low flame roast suji for 5 mints in a heavy bottom pan .
  3. Add water and stir continuously once it comes to begin thick add 1 tbsp oil . Oil gave a smooth texture .
  4. On this stage mix it and cover for 5 min.Swich off the flame and let it cool .
  5. Now mesh / grate the boiled potato .
  6. Take potato in big bowl and add cooled suji dough .
  7. Add peas ,chilli, ginger paste and all spices and mix .
  8. Now add coriander leaves and make perfect dough .
  9. Grease a tray and transfer all mixture into tray . Spread evenly with spectulla and set in tray.
  10. Keep it in the Freeze at least 30 mints. At the time of serving cut it in desired shapes .
  11. Heat oil and slidely drop the pieces in the oil .
  12. Shallow fry them for 1to 2 mins on medium flame without disturbing now gentely flip and again shallow fry them untill golden crisp .
  13. Take them out in paper towel. and serve with sauce .

My Tip:

In order to save time in a party you can kept in the fridge ready to fry .
