Spicy garlic chutney

Ingredients to make Spicy garlic chutney

  • 2 pods of garlic peeled and washed
  • 2 ripe tomatoes cut into half
  • 3 to 4 dry red Chilli
  • Red Chilli powder 1 tbs
  • Grated coconut 2 tbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Hing a pinch
  • Tamarind pulp
  • Oil for saute and tempering
  • Mustard seeds
  • Red Chilli flakes 1/2 tsp

How to make Spicy garlic chutney

  1. In a pan add oil once hot, add garlic and saute until golden brown add dry red Chilli, tomatoes, red Chilli powder and saute until raw smells goes, next add in the grated coconut 2 tbs and fry well. And transfer to the plate allow to cool .
  2. In a blender add everything salt hing tamarind pulp along with some water grinded to a smooth paste. Add water if required.
  3. In a pan add oil add mustard seeds allow it to crack add hing and Chili flakes and off the flame and mix it with chutney. Served this chutney along with idly dosa uttapam even with chapati's and poori etc
