Ingredients to make Poha Sagodana Mixture

  • Sabodana pearls - 1/2 cup
  • Thick poha/ flattened rice - 1/2 cup
  • Dry fruits:
  • cashews: 10 to 12
  • Cranberries - 2 tbsp
  • Kishmish-2 tbsps
  • spices:
  • red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • sugar powder - 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • green chillies - 2 broken
  • curry leaves - few

How to make Poha Sagodana Mixture

  1. SOAK 1/2 CUP SABODANA PEARLS WITH 1 TO 2 TBSP OF WATER FOR FEW MINUTES. FRY ONE OR TOW TSP AT A TIME
  2. WHEN PEARLS ARE FRYING HOLD A PLATE AGAINST THE HOT OIL TO AVOID SPUTTERING EVERYWHERE
  3. FRY 1/2 CUP POHA IN THE SAME HOT OIL
  4. 2 SPRINGS OF CURRY LEAVES 2 BROKEN GREEN CHILLIES
  5. DRY FRUITS : 2 TBSPS KISHMISH, 2 TBSPS CRANBERRIES
  6. DRAIN ON A KITCHEN TISSUE
  7. FRY 10 TO 12 WHOLE CASHEWS
  8. ASSEMBLE ALL ON A PLATE. ADD 1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1 TSP SUGAR POWDER, 1/2 TSP SALT
  9. 1/2 TSP ROASTED CUMIN POWDER
  10. MIX EVENLY WITH A BIG SPOON
