Chestnut halwa

Ingredients to make Chestnut halwa

  • Chestnut flour - 1 cup
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • clarified butter - 1/4 cup
  • Milk - 1.5 cup
  • cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Crushed cashew nuts - 1 tbsp
  • raisins - 1 tbsp

How to make Chestnut halwa

  1. Heat clarified butter in a pan.
  2. Add chestnut flour in a low flame till it turns brown and gives out the fragrance.
  3. Heat sugar and milk in a pan,keep it medium flame for 10 mins.
  4. When it gets sticky means syrup is ready.
  5. Add roasted chestnut flour and cardamom powder and mix well.
  6. Add crushed cashew nuts and raisins and mix well
  7. Garnish with cashew nuts and serve.
