Frosted Chocolate Fudge Cake

Ingredients to make Frosted Chocolate Fudge Cake

  • 115g plain chocolate
  • 115g Unsalted butter
  • 200g light brown sugar
  • 5ml vanilla essence
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 150 ml yogurt
  • 150 g self raising flour
  • Icing sugar and chocolate curls to decorate
  • For the filling and frosting :-
  • 115g dark chocolate
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 350g icing sugar
  • 90ml yogurt
  • 1 cup whipping cream

How to make Frosted Chocolate Fudge Cake

  1. Melt the chocolate with one tbsp of water.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Pour the vanilla essence, then add the eggs and beat well.
  3. Stir in the melted chocolate and yogurt evenly and when blended in well then add the flour.
  4. Divide the mixture into four small tins and bake for 25 - 30 minutes at 190 °.Let it cool for at least 5 minutes.
  5. For the filling and frosting :- Melt the chocolate and butter in a saucepan over a low heat. When melted remove from heat and stir in the icing sugar, yogurt and whipping cream. Beat this mixture until it is slightly thickened
  6. To sandwich the cakes put a layer of cake at the bottom and spread some cream on it then put another layer of cake on it do the same thing with the rest of the layers. On the top layer spread some cream and then decorate it with the chocolate curls. Put some hazelnuts on the top (optional),

My Tip:

Bake the cake until it is firm to touch.
