Stuff chanadaal(bengal gram)aloo tikki chat

Ingredients to make Stuff chanadaal(bengal gram)aloo tikki chat

  • 1.250 kg potatoes boiled and peeled
  • 6 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp green chilly crushed
  • For stuffing :-
  • 3/4 cup bengal gram (chana daal)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida
  • 2 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • 1 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tsp aamchur powder (dry mango powder)
  • oil For shallow frying
  • For serving :-
  • Green chutney
  • Date-dry mango powder chutney (sweet chutney)
  • curd
  • Chopped onion
  • Nylon sev
  • Chat masala

How to make Stuff chanadaal(bengal gram)aloo tikki chat

  1. Soak bengal gram daal in a warm Water For 3 hours .
  2. Now wash the daal and strain it, place the daal in a plate and cook it in a pressure cooker For two whistle
  3. Now take a oil in a pan, add asafoetida and bengal gram flour -roast it till it spread the aroma.
  4. Now add cooked bengal gram, red chilly powder, haldi, garam masala, Salt, chat masala, dry mango powder, and mix it well, turn off gas .
  5. Smashed boiled potatoes, add Salt, green chilly, bread crumbs, rice flour and mix it well .
  6. Make a 23 ball of potato masala .
  7. Take one ball, press it with hand, Make a cavity, stuff the bengal gram stuffing and Make a tikki .
  8. Do as For all potato balls .
  9. Now put some oil on tava, when oil became hot put tikki and roast it golden brown on both side .
  10. For assembling chat :- Put tikki on plate, pour curd, sweet chutney, green chutney on it
  11. Sprinkle some chopped onion, nylon sev, chat masala and serve.

My Tip:

You may use paneer or boiled green peas for stuffing to cutdown the 3 hours soaking process of bengal gram daal
