Ingredients to make Chinese peanut cookies - Fah shan peng

  • Roasted peanut – 1 cup
  • Powder sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Peanut oil – 1/2 cup
  • All – purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • Egg yolk for egg wash (optional)

How to make Chinese peanut cookies - Fah shan peng

  1. Grind roasted peanuts until crumble. Combine grounded peanuts, sugar, oil, butter and flour all together.
  2. Knead for 5 minutes and shape them into small marble sized balls.
  3. Place them on baking tray. Slightly flatten with finger or fork.
  4. Using cap of toothpaste, create circle impression on top. {Give egg wash if using}.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until brown in a pre-heated oven at 220C.
