Ingredients to make Chicken Sultani

  • Chicken 500gms
  • Onion 3sliced
  • Tomato pureed 3
  • Curd 2tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1tsp
  • Ginger-garlic 1tsp
  • Cashewnuts 2tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 1tsp
  • Coconut powder 2tbsp
  • Cinnamon 1inch stick
  • Redchilly powder 1tbsp
  • Garam masala 1tbsp
  • Dhania powder 2tsp
  • Oil 2tbsp
  • Bay leaf 2
  • Salt

How to make Chicken Sultani

  1. Clean Chicken and marinate chicken .
  2. Dry Roast cashews, poppy seeds, coconut powder and blend these with redchilli, garam masala, dhania and grind it to coarse powder
  3. Now make paste of onion, ginger-garlic .
  4. Marinate chicken with coarse powder and onion paste, curd, lemonjuice and leave for 1hr.
  5. In wok add chicken along with marinate and let chicken cook
  6. Now add tomato puree and cook for 10mins more
  7. Add salt and keep gravy consistency accordingly.
My Tip: Blanch tomatoes before pureeing.
