About Lime Pickle Recipe

Sweet and sour pickle made from sour limes.

Lime Pickle

Ingredients to make Lime Pickle

  • 6 sour limes (use the big variety)
  • 2 tbs chilly powder
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 5 tbs ginger garlic paste
  • 50 ml oil
  • 2 tbs vinegar
  • salt to taste

How to make Lime Pickle

  1. Wash, pat dry and cut each lime into 8 pieces. Remove the seeds.
  2. Add salt and ginger garlic paste and mix well. Keep this in a plastic or steel container for 5 days, mixing it twice each day.
  3. Heat oil and add the lime - ginger garlic mixture, chilly powder and sugar. Cook on slow flame for about 10 minutes till the limes are soft.
  4. Lastly, add the vinegar and stir well. Remove from fire and cool.
  5. Store in clean and dry bottles.

My Tip:

Keeps for a year without refrigeration.

wen ginger garlic salt is applied do we hv to store in fridge for 5 days nd remove to mix it as told in ur recipe..pls reply...
