ABOUT Khurma - Crunchy Munchy Snacks RECIPE

Crunchy munchy Khurma, dont mistook with the khurma, a sweet kheer we make usually with thin vermicelli.This khurma is a deep fried snack which is then coated with a sugar syrup. This kurma is as much as like the famous Shakkara para, a sweet biscuits which is quite addictive.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2cups All purpose flour
  2. 1cup Wheat flour
  3. 5tbsp Warm ghee
  4. 2cups Sugar
  5. 1/4tsp Salt
  6. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the flours well in a bowl, add the warm ghee, salt. Add the ghee,mix well with your fingers.
  2. Add the water gradually and make a stiff dough,keep aside for half an hour. Divide the dough into two balls, roll a ball into a medium thick disc.
  3. Cut it as squares and deep fry until golden.
  4. Meanwhile boil the sugar ad water as two string sugar consistency. Drop the fried khurma into the sugar syrup.
  5. Drain quickly and let keep aside for few minutes. Store in an air tightened box.
