A yummilicios mayonnaise with buttermilk which can be added to burgers, munched with biscuits or drizzled in salads

Buttermilk Mayonnnaise

Ingredients to make Buttermilk Mayonnnaise

  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp pepper powder

How to make Buttermilk Mayonnnaise

  1. MIX 2 TBSP CORN FLOUR IN 2 TBSP MILK
  2. IN A SAUCE PAN ADD 2/3 CUP OF BUTTERMILK
  3. SCALD AND IMMEDIATELY REMOVE FROM HEAT
  4. ADD 1 TBSP VINEGAR
  5. CORN FLOUR SLURRY
  6. 2 TBSP OIL
  7. 1 TSP SALT
  8. MIX TOGETHER AND PLACE ON HEAT
  9. BRING TO BOIL AND KEEP ON HEAT FOR 2 MORE MINUTES AND KEEP STIRRING
  10. ADD THE SAUCE AND MIX WITH TO 1 EGG YOLK AND ADD TO THE SAUCE
  11. PLACE IT ON ICE PACK AND TILL THE SAUCE REACHES TO WARM, MEANWHILE KEEP STIRRING
  12. REMOVE FROM ICE PACK AND DRIZZLE 1 CUP OIL GRADUALLY.
  13. START FROM DROP BY DROP OF OIL INTO SAUCE LATER INCREASE THE QUANTITY IF NOT THE MIXTURE WILL CURDLE
  14. 1 TSP MUSTARD POWDER
  15. 1 TSP PEPPER POWDER
  16. MIX TOGETHER AND ENJOY!!
