ABOUT INDIAN MIRCHI BAJJI RECIPE

Another all times favourite food of many especially when it's raining hard. On an evening like that my husband would love to eat these. Stuffed and deep fried green chillies which are popularly known as Mirchi bajji in India. Let's see how to prepare them.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Green chillies big size – 8 to 10
  2. Grated cabbage 1 cup
  3. Chopped onions 1 cup
  4. Grated carrot 1 cup
  5. Corn seeds 1 tsp
  6. Green peas 1 tsp
  7. Chopped garlic 1 tsp
  8. Salt ½ tsp
  9. Soy sauce 2 tsps
  10. Red chilli flakes ¼ tsp
  11. Roasted seseme seeds 1 tsp
  12. Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  13. Chickpea flour 1 ½ cup
  14. Cumin seeds ¼ tsp
  15. Oil 250 ml
  16. Water as needed

Instructions

  1. First wash the green chillies well and wipe them dry and deseed them carefully. So, that they hold the stuffing.
  2. For stuffing, take grated cabbage, chopped onions, grated carrot, corn seeds, green peas, chopped garlic, salt, soy sauce, red chilli flakes and roasted sesame seeds.
  3. Mix the stuffing well and stuff the green chillies carefully.
  4. Now let's get the better ready for frying the stuffed Chillies. First take some chickpea flour, cumin seeds, salt, red chilli powder and prepare a nice, smooth, thick batter.
  5. Now dip stuffed chillies and coat the batter well and deep fry them till they are crisp or golden brown.
  6. Enjoy this on any rainy day and your day is made.
