ABOUT Sooji Idli RECIPE

An instant type of idli made with semolina,curd.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Semolina -1 cup
  2. Curd -3 tbsp
  3. Coriander leaves -as needed
  4. Green chillies -2
  5. Grated carrots -1/4 cup
  6. Curry leaves -4-5
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Black split gram -1 tsp
  9. Mustard seeds - tsp
  10. Oil -2 tsp
  11. Grated ginger -1 tsp
  12. Eno Salt - one small pouch.

Instructions

  1. Dry roast semolina.keep aside.
  2. Heat oil.Add mustard seeds and black split gram,curry leaves
  3. Add green chillies and grated ginger.saute well.
  4. Add this mixture into roasted rava.
  5. Add curd and salt.
  6. Add little Water and make a batter.keep aside for 15 minutes.
  7. After 15 min add Eno salt to batter.
  8. Mix together .
  9. Grease idli trays and pour this mixture immediately and steam for 8-10 minutes.
  10. Rava Idli /Semolina idling is ready.
  11. You can serve with coconut chutney or any other chutney of your choice.
