About Sindhi koki Recipe

This is one of special dish of sindhis. They eat this anytime. It can be eaten with curd or tea.

Sindhi koki

Ingredients to make Sindhi koki

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 finely chopped medium onion
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • Half tsp red chilli powder
  • 3tbsp ghee or oil
  • water to knead the dough

How to make Sindhi koki

  1. Take wheat flour in a bowl
  2. Cut onion,green chillies and coriander leaves finely.
  3. Add it to the flour. Add salt ,red chilli powder and ghee.
  4. Mix all very well. Then add little water at a time. Knead the dough bit hard like we make for puris.
  5. Dont keep dough for long time as it will get soft slowly because of onions loosing water. So make koki instantly
  6. Then make 4 balls of dough. Roll it .
  7. Place tava on gas and let it get hot properly.
  8. Put the rolled koki on tava and cook it til it gets lightly roasted. Apply ghee on the both the sides.
  9. Serve hot with curd or can have with tea too.

My Tip:

Adding ghee instead of oil will make koki more tasty and also will be little crispy and soft too.
