Batata toast

Ingredients to make Batata toast

  • Bread slices 4
  • Boiled and mashed potatoes 1 cup
  • salt 3/4 tesp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  • Chat masala 1/2 tesp
  • Green chilies 2
  • Green coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • Green coriander chutney 2 tbsp
  • Ketchup 2 tbsp
  • butter 2-3 tbsp
  • onion 1
  • Sev 2 tbsp

How to make Batata toast

  1. Mix together boiled and mashed potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, chat masala, chopped green chilies and green coriander leaves.
  2. Take a bread slice. Apply coriander chutney on one side.
  3. Apply a layer of potatoes mixture over green chutney.
  4. Heat a non stick pan. Put some butter.
  5. Place the bread slice over butter keeping potatoes side down.
  6. Cook on medium flame till golden.
  7. Apply butter on top of bread slice.
  8. Flip and cook on low until crisp and golden.
  9. Remove from pan. Drizzle some ketchup.
  10. Top with finely chopped onion, Sev, Green coriander leaves.
