Ingredients Serving: 12

  1. 1-1/4 cups all purpose flour
  2. 100 grams mawa
  3. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  4. 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground cardamom
  5. 1/4 cup amul butter
  6. 1 cup sugar
  7. 2 eggs
  8. 3 tablespoons milk
  9. Crushed Pistachios for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Mix together the dry ingredients in a bowl - flour, cardamom, baking powder.
  2. In another bowl, beat together the butter and sugar for 3 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Then add the crumbled mawa and beat for another minute until all of it is mixed well. Add one egg at a time and beat well to form a smooth mixture.
  4. Add half of the dry flour mixture and half of the milk alternatively to this butter mixture and mix it well with a spatula. Repeat this process for the other half flour mixture and milk as well.
  5. Line a cupcake tray with liners and spoon the batter till the liner is filled 2/3rd. Sprinkle the crushed pistachios on top of each cup of filled batter.
  6. Place the tray in a preheated oven with temperature of 160 degrees celsius and bake until its light brown in colour. It will take 35-40 minutes.
  7. Do the toothpick test, when inserted in the middle of the cake, it should come out clean.
  8. Best enjoyed with a cup of hot tea!
