Chicken Barley Soup

Ingredients to make Chicken Barley Soup

  • chicken Stock 2 coffee mugs
  • Boiled boneless chicken 150gms
  • barley 50gms
  • Chopped garlic 1tbsp
  • Chopped giner 1tbsp
  • Vegetable oil 1tbsp
  • Beans, carrots julienne cut 1 bowl
  • salt

How to make Chicken Barley Soup

  1. Heat a stock pan, add oil
  2. Once the oil is heated add the chopped ginger and garlic
  3. Now add the vegetables to the pan, saute for 2minutes and then add the boiled barley
  4. Saute for 5minutes and then add the chicken stock
  5. When you fine the vegetables are done, then add the shredded boiled chicken
  6. Finally add salt to taste, serve piping hot with or without some toasted garlic bread
  7. Barley - wash barley properly and boil in a saucepan. Once boiled drain the water and keep aside for later us
  8. Shredded Chicken - boil boneless chicken with whole pepper and bay leaf. Once boiled keep the chicken aside, shred and use. The water can be used as stock.

My Tip:

Usage of stock is the main taste giver to this soup. Stock contains nutrient and flavour.
