Ingredients to make Pesarattu with Ginger Chutney

  • For pesarattu
  • green gram 1 cup
  • Raw rice 1/4 cup
  • green chillies 2
  • ginger
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • jeera 1/2 tsp
  • hing 1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • curry leaves
  • coriander leaves
  • onion chopped
  • For ginger Chutney
  • Bengal gram 3 tbsp
  • urad dal 1.5 tbsp
  • hing pinch
  • ginger 2 inch
  • red chilli 1
  • tamarind small piece
  • salt

How to make Pesarattu with Ginger Chutney

  1. SOAK 1 CUP GREEN GRAM AND 1/4 CUP RAW RICE SEPARATELY OVERNIGHT
  2. ADD TO BLENDER
  3. ADD 2 GREEN CHILLIES, GINGER, 1/2 TSP JEERA AND TURMERIC POWDER
  4. ADD 1/4 TSP HING AND REQUIRED SALT
  5. ADD REQUIRED WATER AND GRIND TO SMOOTH BATTER
  6. ADD CHOPPED ONION, CURRY AND CORIANDER LEAVES. MIX
  7. SPREAD DOSA
  8. ADD OIL
  9. COOK ON BOTH SIDES
  10. IN A KADAI, ADD OIL. ADD 3 TBSP CHANNA DAL. SAUTE
  11. ADD 1.5 TBSP URAD, PINCH OF HING AND CHOPPED GINGER. SAUTE
  12. ADD 1 RED CHILLI AND TAMARIND SMALL PIECE. SAUTE
  13. ADD TO BLENDER AND ADD REQUIRED SALT
  14. GRIND TO SMOOTH PASTE.
