Dates and dry fruits burfi

Ingredients to make Dates and dry fruits burfi

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar,
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 chopped dates ,
  • ,1/2 cup almond& cashews,
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut,
  • 1/2cup melon seeds,
  • cardamom powder,
  • 2tsp ghee.
  • 3/4 cup water for sugar syrup

How to make Dates and dry fruits burfi

  1. Chopped all dry fruits place everything in a bowl. Roughly chopped dates discard their seeds, peel cardamom and crush its seeds place them in a bowl.
  2. Place a pan on flame pour 2 tsp ghee add chopped nuts into it, melon seeds,coconut grated keep stirring and Roast them for 3-4 mins on medium flame.
  3. Grease a tray with ghee and set aside.
  4. Take a pan on medium flame add 1 1/2 cup suagr and 3/4 cup water for sugar syrup,then the syrup will begin to thicken keep stirring add nuts off the heat mix well and pour it in a greased tray.
  5. Leave this to settle down for 20 mins. Cut them to squares and serve.
