Dal Inderahar

Ingredients to make Dal Inderahar

  • ¼ cup arhar (tur) dal
  • ¼ cup split Moong dal
  • ¼ cup green Moong dal
  • ¼ cup urad dal
  • ¼ cup chana dal
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp asafoetida powder

How to make Dal Inderahar

  1. Collect all types of dal.
  2. Soak the dal in water for 4 - 5 hours.
  3. Now drain the water and grind the dal in grinder mixer.
  4. Keep it warm place for 12 hours .
  5. Add grated ginger and green chilli.
  6. Add all dry ingredients and mix well.
  7. In a wok add 1 glass of water and grease the plate with oil.
  8. Pour the batter in the greased plate.
  9. Steam for 15 minutes and check with tooth pick.
  10. Let it cool and demould it.
  11. Cut the pieces.
  12. In a wok add oil and heat it.
  13. Deep frying the all pieces one by one.
  14. Dal Inderahar turns into golden brown colour remove from oil.
  15. Now our Dal Inderahar are ready to serve with tomato ketchup.

My Tip:

Deep fry in medium heat for crispness.
