It is traditional Bengali recipe,if you have lots of ripe bananas at home..dont throw away .make this yuumy fritters.

Ripe Banana Fritters(Pakke Keleka Pakora)

Ingredients to make Ripe Banana Fritters(Pakke Keleka Pakora)

  • 2 - Ripe bananas
  • 1/1/4 tsp - Fresh Crushed cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/2 Cup - Rice flour
  • 1/4 cup sooji or semolina
  • 1/4 Cup - sugar
  • 2 tbsp - maida
  • 2 tbsp - Fresh Grated coconut
  • 2 tbsp - Milk
  • oil-1cup

How to make Ripe Banana Fritters(Pakke Keleka Pakora)

  1. Peel and mash well the banans well in a bowl. Add sugar, scardamom powder, and mix well until sugar dissolves (you can also powder sugar and add).
  2. Now add rice flour, maida , sooji, coconut, baking soda and give a good mix to avoid any lumps. If the dough is very thick add 2-3 tbsp of milk or water ,don't add too much of liquid as it will increase cooking time. Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying, drop 6-7 medium size pakoda with hand or using spoon and cook in medium flame until both sides becomes golden brown.
  3. Once done remove with using spoon and place over absorbent paper to remove excess Oil.
