Healthy pav bhaji

Ingredients to make Healthy pav bhaji

  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Chopped onion 1
  • Chopped capsicum 1
  • Chilli garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Tomato puree 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Soya granules 1/2 cup
  • Boiled and grated beetroot 1/2 cup
  • Boiled and grated cauliflower 1/2 cup
  • Boiled peas 1/2 cup
  • Boiled potatoes 1/2 cup
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Pav bhaji masala 2 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  • Slices of whole wheat bread
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Coriander and lemon wedges to garnish

How to make Healthy pav bhaji

  1. Heat oil in a pan, then add the onion, chilli garlic paste, capsicum and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add the tomato puree, salt and cook for 2 mins.
  3. Then add the soya granules, beetroot, cauliflower, green peas, potatoes, water, pav bhaji masala, chopped coriander and cook it for 3-4 mins.
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves and lemon wedges and serve it with whole wheat bread.
My Tip: We are using beetroot to gain the red colour.
