Buckwheat Khichdi( kuttu Giri Khichdi)

Ingredients to make Buckwheat Khichdi( kuttu Giri Khichdi)

  • 1 cup buckwheat groats(kuttu giri )
  • 2 boiled chopped potato
  • 2 table spoon rwa peanuts
  • 2 table spoon peanut oil
  • 1teaspoon cumin
  • 2 Chopped green chillies
  • 1 inch chopped ginger
  • 2 Cups water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • rock salt as per taste
  • 1 lemon Juice
  • 1 table spoon chopped corriander leaves

How to make Buckwheat Khichdi( kuttu Giri Khichdi)

  1. Wash and Soak buck wheat groats fir 10 minutes in sufficient water
  2. Take a pan and heat 2table spoon peanut oil and fry peanuts in it .
  3. Add boiled chopped potato in it .And fry little .
  4. Now in same pan crackle jeera , and saute green chillies and ginger.in it .
  5. Drain all water of buckwheat groats .
  6. Add buckwheat groats in the pan .
  7. Add salt and 2 cups of water in it .And keep on low flame with a lid.
  8. Cook for 10 minutes on low flame .
  9. Add fried peanuts and potatoes in it and sugar , lemon juice and corriander leaves in it .
  10. Your buckwheat groats khichdi (kuttu giri khichdi ) is ready to eat.
  11. Serve hot with a cup of tea ar curd .
