this dosa recipe is made for vrat, it is made from bhagar(samo rice) and boiled potatoes

Ingredients to make aloo bhagar dosa

  • 3 cups bhagar/samo rice
  • 2 potatoes boiled
  • 2 green chilies
  • rock salt to taste
  • oil for cooking

How to make aloo bhagar dosa

  1. clean, wash and soak the bhagar in enough water in a bowl for at least 2 hours
  2. drain and crush the bhagar with green chili to a rough mixture using some water
  3. now add the boiled potatoes and crush the mixture to a smooth batter
  4. transfer the batter into a bowl, add salt and mix well
  5. cover and keep aside for 2-3 hours
  6. heat a tava, pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it in a circular motion
  7. smear a little oil and cook till both the sides of the dosa turns light golden in colour
  8. make all the dosas in the same manner
  9. serve with tomato chutney
