Rawa cutlet

Ingredients to make Rawa cutlet

  • 2 teaspoon oil
  • 1teaspoon mastard seeds
  • 1 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 inch ginger finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp carrot finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric/ haldi
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 2 tbsp peas/matar
  • 1 /4 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon aamchur/ dry mango powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 Cup rava/semolina/sooji
  • 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
  • For outer covering
  • 1/4cup cornflour
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper crushed
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 Cup water
  • oil for deep frying

How to make Rawa cutlet

  1. Take a pan dry roast rawa till pink .And transfer in a plate for cooling.
  2. Heat oil in a pan crackle mastard ,chopped onion, green chili ,ginger add vegetables and cook for 5 minutes with a lid .
  3. Add 1cup water allow to boil and add rawa and salt ..Spices .Cook till all water absorb.
  4. Transfer in a bowl for cooling.
  5. Now make patties from cooked rawa .
  6. Now mix 1 / 4 cup corn flour , 1/4 teaspoon pepper ,1/4tsp salt ,and 1/4 cup water and prepare a smooth flowing consistency batter .
  7. Dip in corn flour batter covering both sides .
  8. Then roll in oats on both the sides .
  9. Deep fry, shallow fry or pan fry the patties in hot oil . Alternatively , preheat and bake at 180 degree Celsius for 25 minutes .
  10. Flip and fry both the sides on medium flame till it turns golden and crisp .
  11. Finally, drain over kitchen paper to remove excess oil and serve with tomato sauce.
