Pista burfi

Ingredients to make Pista burfi

  • mawa 250 gm
  • Boora or tagar 110 gm
  • pistachios chopped 1 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1/4 tsp

How to make Pista burfi

  1. Heat a pan, add the crumbled mawa and roast it lightly on a medium flame while stirring continuously. Take it out in a plate and let it cool on a room temperature.
  2. Add in boora, cardamom powder into the mawa and mix it well.
  3. Spread it in a greased plate and sprinkle pistachios over it and lightly press them.
  4. Lightly rub the surface of burfi with the piece of butter paper to get a smooth and shiny look.
  5. Let it set for 3 to 4 hours.
  6. Then cut into desired shapes and serve.

My Tip:

Don't mix the boora in hot mawa.
