This is dry masaledar mutton chops perfect for cocktail party.

Masala mutton chops

Ingredients to make Masala mutton chops

  • Khada masalas as per choice(tejpatta, dalchini,leaving etc)
  • mutton chops 500 gms
  • oil 2 tbsp+2 tbsp
  • Paste of 2 onions
  • Paste of 2 tomatoes
  • ginger garlic chilli paste 2 tsps
  • salt to taste.
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp+ 1tsp
  • red chilli pwd 2 tsps+2tsps
  • coriander pwd 2 tsps+2 tsps
  • Aamchur pwd 1 tsp
  • water half glass

How to make Masala mutton chops

  1. In pressure cooker heat oil 2 tbsp.
  2. Add onion paste saute till golden.
  3. Add ggc paste and stir.
  4. Now add tomato paste.
  5. Add in mutton chops.
  6. Roast this mixture on high heat by adding salt, turmeric pwd 1tsp,redchilli pwd 2tsps,coriander pwd 2 tsps. ,1 tsp garam masala.
  7. Roast till Oil traces are found on sides of cooker.
  8. Add half glass of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles on high flame and slower the gas for 5 mins.
  9. Switch off the gas.
  10. When pressure is released take out mutton chops.(check whether chops are tender or not,cooking time totally depends upon quality of mutton)
  11. Now in heavy bottomed pan Add remaining oil,mutton chops ,all remaining masalas and cook till masalas are well coated on mutton chops.
  12. Switch off the gas and serve with onion slices ,lemon wedges and mint chutney.

My Tip:

This can be made in advanced and fried in maslas at the time of serving.
