Ingredients to make Butter paneer masala

  • Small pieces of paneer
  • Onions - 2
  • Blanched tomatoes - 3
  • khare garam masale (bayleaf;clove;cinnamon stick;cardamom;clove}
  • Malai - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 250 gms
  • Cashew paste - 18 - 20 cashews
  • Oil -1 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Bay leaves - 4

How to make Butter paneer masala

  1. blanch tomatoes and prepare the puree by blending it.
  2. Make a paste of onion,garlic and ginger.
  3. Make a paste of the cashews using a little milk.
  4. In a kadai/ pan, add oil, khare garam masala followed by onion ginger garlic paste .
  5. In a small pan add butter, add the bay leaf and fry for 2 minutes. Add it to the bigger pan.
  6. Add tomato puree followed by cashew paste.
  7. Cook it till you get a nice smell. Add water and cook it for 10-15 min.
  8. Add paneer. Garnish it with malai and coriander leaves.
My Tip: Serve it with roti or parantha.

kasuri methi gives the best flavour for this dish.grind 2medium size tomatoes 1green chilly 2 big onions 1sm pc ginger 1tsp kashmiri chilly powder 1/2tsp turmeric powder 1tsp salt 1tspgaram masala powder 10nos cashew nuts 1/2 size of a sm size carrot 1pc cardamom. grind all together coarsely(should not be too smooth) .in a kadai add big ladel of cooking oil let some jeera splutter.now add the ground paste and cook untill raw smell leaves and the oil should will give up.now add fried or plain paneer cubes.cook for few mins.top it with butter and sprinkle dried methi leaves and coriander finely chopped
