ABOUT Soya mince and sprouted moong cutlet RECIPE

It is protein packed, super healthy stuff. It will be prefect starter for any vegetarian meal or you can use it as a burger pattis.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup soya mince
  2. 2 cups Sprouted moong Dal
  3. 1 finely chopped Onion
  4. 1 boiled potato
  5. 2 Green chillies
  6. 1 tsp grated Ginger
  7. 3-4 garlic cloves
  8. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  9. 1/4tsp garam masala powder
  10. 1/2 amchur powder
  11. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  12. 1 tbsp cornflour
  13. Bread crumbs as required
  14. salt to taste
  15. oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak soya mince in hot water along with salt 1/4 tsp cumin powder and 1/4 tsp garam masala powder for 10 minutes. Drain the mince and squeeze out as much water from mince as possible.
  2. In food processor add soya mince, sprouted moong Dal and coarsely grind it. Add little water if required.
  3. In motor and pestle crush green chilies, garlic and ginger.
  4. Add the chopped onions, mashed potato, crushed chili and ginger garlic along with all dry masala and cornflour. Mix well if you find no batter to be wet add bread crumbs as required. Mix it well.
  5. Make lemon size ball from the mix and shape it in cutlet. Make thinner tikka if you like it crispy one.
  6. Heat the oil in a frying pan and gently place the cutlets for shallow frying.
  7. Fry them until they get well cooked and turn golden in color. Drain the excess oil and place the cutlet on tissue paper.
  8. Serve hot with chutney or make a sandwich using it.
