Stuffed Milagai Bajji / Stuffed Chilli Fritters

Ingredients to make Stuffed Milagai Bajji / Stuffed Chilli Fritters

  • For making Bajji
  • Bajji Milagai / green chillies 8 to 10
  • gram flour 1 cup
  • Rice flour or Corn flour 3 table spoons
  • asafoetida powder 1/4 tea spoon
  • Ajwain 1/4 tea spoon
  • salt to taste
  • For filling
  • Pressure cooked and peeled potatoes 3
  • Grated ginger 1 tea spoon
  • Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tea spoon
  • salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder 1/4 tea spoon
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Lemon juice 2 tea spoons

How to make Stuffed Milagai Bajji / Stuffed Chilli Fritters

  1. In a bowl add all the ingredients given for filling and mix well with hand and keep aside.
  2. Make a slit in the middle of the chilli and scoop out the seeds.
  3. With a spoon stuff the chilli with the allo mix and bring the edges closer and keep aside.
  4. Repeat it for all the chillies.
  5. In a bowl add the flours, salt, asafoetida, ajwain with water and bring it to thick batter like idli batter
  6. Heat a pan with oil
  7. Dip the stuffed chillies in the batter and deep fry.

My Tip:

Garlic ginger paste 1 teaspoon could be added to the batter to get extra spicy taste.
