Healthy onion pakoda

Ingredients to make Healthy onion pakoda

  • Sliced onion - 2
  • Chopped green chillies - 2
  • Ajwain - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped coriander - 2 tablespoon
  • baking soda a pinch
  • salt to taste
  • Amchoor - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • Rice flour 2 tablespoon
  • Gram flour 5-6 tablespoon
  • water as required
  • turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chat masala to sprinkle
  • oil as required

How to make Healthy onion pakoda

  1. In a bowl, add all the ingredients and make a thick paste.
  2. Heat the appam pan, add a little oil in each cavity. Then pour the pakoda batter into all the cavities.
  3. Let it roast from both the sides on a slow to medium flame.
  4. Add a few drops of oil while flipping to get more crispy pakodas.
  5. Sprinkle some chat masala and serve it with ketchup and mint chutney.

My Tip:

Note to use sliced onion and not chopped ones.
