A super healthy easy Upma for kids . This recipe was shared by one of my fb friend .

Badam Upma

Ingredients to make Badam Upma

  • almonds soaked in water for 15 minutes 150 grams
  • salt as taste
  • ghee 1 tablespoon
  • onion 1 chopped
  • green chillies slit 1
  • mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • urad dal 1/2 teaspoon
  • curry leaves 7
  • water / milk 1/2 glass to cook the Upma .

How to make Badam Upma

  1. Peel the skin of the soaked almonds . Drain the almonds.
  2. Powder into almond powder coarsely .
  3. In a wok , heat ghee .
  4. Splutter mustard seeds .
  5. Add urad dal, chillies , curry leaves .
  6. Add onions and sauté for few minutes .
  7. Then add the almond powder and fry for few minutes .
  8. Add salt .
  9. Add milk / water and cook as per your desired consistency .
  10. Serve warm .

My Tip:

I cup of almonds yields good quantity of Upma .
