About Aloo Soya kheema Recipe

A fantastic , finger licking vegetarian kheema . Goes well with rice / pulaos/ Pulkas.

Aloo Soya kheema

Ingredients to make Aloo Soya kheema

  • Soya chunks 250 grams is minced to soya granules
  • bay leaves 2
  • Dried hibiscus 1 small piece .
  • ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • onions big 2 finely chopped
  • green chillies 2 slit lengthwise
  • Red ripe tomato big 1
  • garlic pods 5 finely chopped
  • salt as required
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon.
  • potato medium sized one diced
  • water 1 ladleful
  • Fresh cilantros chopped
  • Sesame oil 2 tablespoons

How to make Aloo Soya kheema

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons sesame oil . Add bay leaves 2. Dried hibiscus a small piece .
  2. Add 2 green chillies , finely chopped garlic cloves 5, 2 onions chopped . Sauté till translucent.
  3. Add a teaspoon of ginger garlic paste . Sauté well for 2 minutes.
  4. Add 1 finely chopped tomato. Sauté till mushy.Add 1 diced potato . Add salt . Sauté all together .
  5. Add turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon . Garam Masala powder 1 teaspoon .
  6. Add one ladleful water to adjust the masala . Let the potatoes cook. Cover the wok for few minutes.
  7. Once the masala is thick ,add the soya kheema / minced . Under medium flame slow roast .
  8. Soya kheema is Roasted . Switch off . Garnish with a fistful if chopped fresh cilantros .
  9. Aloo soya kheema is ready . Serve hot !

My Tip:

While pulsing the soya chunks to kheema state , don’t add even drop of water . Grind it coarsely .
