ABOUT Aloo Soya kheema RECIPE

A fantastic , finger licking vegetarian kheema . Goes well with rice / pulaos/ Pulkas.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soya chunks 250 grams is minced to soya granules
  2. Bay leaves 2
  3. Dried hibiscus 1 small piece .
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  5. Onions big 2 finely chopped
  6. Green chillies 2 slit lengthwise
  7. Red ripe tomato big 1
  8. Garlic pods 5 finely chopped
  9. Salt as required
  10. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Garam Masala powder 1 teaspoon.
  13. Potato medium sized one diced
  14. Water 1 ladleful
  15. Fresh cilantros chopped
  16. Sesame oil 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons sesame oil . Add bay leaves 2. Dried hibiscus a small piece .
  2. Add 2 green chillies , finely chopped garlic cloves 5, 2 onions chopped . Sauté till translucent.
  3. Add a teaspoon of ginger garlic paste . Sauté well for 2 minutes.
  4. Add 1 finely chopped tomato. Sauté till mushy.Add 1 diced potato . Add salt . Sauté all together .
  5. Add turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon . Garam Masala powder 1 teaspoon .
  6. Add one ladleful water to adjust the masala . Let the potatoes cook. Cover the wok for few minutes.
  7. Once the masala is thick ,add the soya kheema / minced . Under medium flame slow roast .
  8. Soya kheema is Roasted . Switch off . Garnish with a fistful if chopped fresh cilantros .
  9. Aloo soya kheema is ready . Serve hot !
