Baked Handvo

Ingredients to make Baked Handvo

  • Rava - 1 cup
  • Curd - 1 cup
  • 2 Cup Veggies( shredded cabbage, carrots, finely chopped onions, beans, capsicum)
  • Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
  • salt as per taste
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • For Tadka
  • Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves - 8-10
  • 3-4 green chillies (chopped)
  • a pinch of Hing
  • oil
  • For garnishing
  • Sesame seeds
  • Cilentro

How to make Baked Handvo

  1. Mix water, curd and rava. Let it rest for 20-25 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven at 200° C for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix all the veggies in soaked rava.
  4. Add salt, garam masala and lastly soda. Transfer the batter in greased baking trey.
  5. Heat oil in a tadka pan. Add mustard seeds, chopped chillies, curry leaves.
  6. Pour the tadka on the batter and sprinkle sesame seeds & cilentro over it. Bake for 25 minutes at 200° C and then 2 minutes at 250°.
  7. Cut and serve with mint-coriander-garlic chutney.
My Tip: I once used leftover paneer water & less then 1/2 cup of curd & taste was awesome.
