  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 Tsp cumin seed
  • 1 Tsp mustard seed
  • 3 tsp oil

How to make Msharashtrian varan phal

  1. MAKE DOUGH FOR VARN PHAL
  2. ADD WHEAT FLOUR AND SALT , OIL NOW START ADDING LITTLE WATER AT ATIME AND KEPP KNEADING BOUGH SHOULD BE LITTLE BIT STIFF AND LET IT REAST FOR 10 MINUTES
  3. WASH TOOR DAL IN WATER
  4. BOIL THE TOOD DAL UN PRESSURE COOKER IN GIVE 3-4 WHISTLES
  5. HEAT OIL IN PAN ADD MUSTARD SEEDS, CUMIN SEED HING
  6. ADD GREEN CHILLI , CURRY LEAVES AND SAUTE TILL
  7. ADD BOILED DAL MIX WELL
  8. ADD WATER AND CHOPPED TOMATO
  9. ADD SALT A REQUIRD
  10. MEAK MEDIUM SIZED BOLLS OUT OF IT AND ROLL THEM LIKE A THIN ROTI
  11. CUT INTO SQUARE OR DIAMOND SHAPES DAL NICE BOIL AND START ADDING DOUGH PIECES IN IT
  12. COOK COMPLETLY IN DAL 10-15 MIN
  13. VARAN PHAL READY
  14. SERVE IT HOT
