Steamed Spinach Cake

Ingredients to make Steamed Spinach Cake

  • 1/4 cup spinach puree
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar

How to make Steamed Spinach Cake

  1. INGREDIENTS
  2. LINE CAKE MOULD WITH PARCHMENT PAPER
  3. SIEVE DRY INGREDIENTS AND KEEP IT ASIDE
  4. IN A BOWL, ADD EGG, SUGAR AND OIL. WHISK TOGETHER
  5. ADD VANILLA EXTRACT, MILK AND SPINACH PUREE . WHISK WELL
  6. SLOWLY ADD DRY INGREDIENTS
  7. CUT AND FOLD BATTER GENTLY
  8. POUR BATTER IN PREPARED MOULD. TAP GENTLY
  9. COVER THE CAKE WITH ALUMINIUM FOIL COMPLETELY
  10. PLACE CAKE IN STEAMER
  11. STEAM CAKE FOR 45-50 MINUTES
  12. REMOVE FOIL. TOOTHPICK INSERTED IN CENTRE SHOULD BE CLEAN ELSE REFOIL AND COOK FOR FEW MORE MINUTES
  13. ALLOW CAKE TO COOL
  14. INVERT CAKE ON SERVING PLATE AND REMOVE THE PARCHMENT PAPER
  15. DECORATE OR SERVE AS IS
