About Khandvi Recipe

Its a famous gujrati dish, that consist of bite sized pieces made of gramflour and yogurt

Khandvi

Ingredients to make Khandvi

  • Gramflour 3/4 bowl
  • curd 3/4 bowl
  • water 1/2 bowl
  • turmeric 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • Pinch of hing
  • mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  • curry leaves 8-10 leaves
  • coriander leaves
  • Grated coconut

How to make Khandvi

  1. Take Gramflour, Curd, Turmeric, Salt and hing in a bowl and mix well
  2. Add water and mix to make a smooth batter
  3. Pour the batter in a pan on medium flame. Stir it continuously until it separates from the vessel. It will take approx 10-15 min
  4. in order to check that the mixture is ready, take small amount of batter and spread it evenly on a flat surface. Let it dry. Check if it rolls properly.
  5. If rolls are not proper then cook the mixture for some more time.
  6. Grease the surface with oil
  7. Now spread the whole batter on a flat surface and let it dry
  8. After the batter is dried, cut it evenly into 1-2 inch strips
  9. Roll these strips
  10. For temping, put some oil in a pan and add hing, mustard seeds, curry leaves
  11. Spread the seasoning on the khandvi rolls
  12. Garnish with Coriander and Grated coconut

My Tip:

Please make sure to check small amount of batter first
